The broad way is the way of "Human Achievement", this is the way of works, by what we must "do" to earn eternal life. Dr. Robert Jeffress talks about this popular wide road and and he talks about the unpopular narrow way that has a narrow gate that leads to life and it is entered only by "Divine Accomplishment", what Christ has "done". A very cogent book on the subject of "Sharing an Exclusive Jesus in an Inclusive World".
As Christians, we all want to know the truth as taught by Jesus and his apostles. Dr. Jeffress clearly explains the three views about those who go to heaven as taught in today's many traditions. They are exclusivity, inclusivity and universalism. Which one did the apostles and Jesus himself die for? In this book, Dr. Jeffress answers this question plus some of the biggest questions such as, "What about those who have never heard about Jesus? " , What about children who die before they are old enough to know about Christ?", and "How could a loving God let people go to hell?" The answers to these and many other questions in this book are found in the Bible and Dr. Jeffress tells you where to find them.
My wife is reding this book and we listened to Dr. Jeffress teaching on it through the radio. An excellent book for the serious biblical student as well as the inquiring mind that is trying to make sense of all the clatter they hear about eternity and that anything you beleive will get you to heaven. This book puts the nails in the coffin of that lie from Satan.
I highly recommend this book by Dr Jeffress; well written with examples that are very sensible and most importantly, everything he writes is backed by the one and only truthful book ever written, the word of God aka the Holy Bible. Both Christian and non-Christians should read this book, it will make you think, question and realize there is more to life than what's seen.
Until I read this book, I hadn't realized how the world around me had slowly opened my mind to an 'inclusive' point of view. Dr. Jeffress explains clearly the exclusivity of heaven. He also gives answers to questions for we Bible-believing Christians who are willing to share the exclusive gospel. Thank you Dr. Jeffress for stepping out and writing this book.
My father-in-law showed me this book, and when I was visiting them I started reading it. I'm not a big reader, matter fact I hate to read. But I was so into this book, very well written. So while I was on vacation visiting them I ordered the book so when I get home it would be there. I did not want to go a day without being able to read this book. I highly recommend this book even if you are a Christian so it can help you to talk to non-christians. Because there is only one way to heaven, Jesus
If you want to read a book that thoroughly explains and justifies the fact that there is ONLY ONE NAME by which we are saved, only ONE WAY to the Father, through His Son, JESUS CHRIST, that our "GOOD WORKS" is not what guarantees our presence in Heaven, this is your book! I managed to read it cover to cover in just a few days and understood every bit of it! Wide is the path that leads to destruction but narrow is the road that leads to eternal life. I hope and pray that you are on it!
