What a beautiful looking book and what a beautifully written book. This is a large book and a wonderful book to display.The author writes from the heart (full disclosure, my wife and I are good friends with Laura and her husband Thom) and shares years of advise for the newlywed couple. The bride will benefit mostly from this book, but the groom will do well to read through it too.This is a keepsake book that will be used by the newlywed couple for years.
Bought this book for a friends bridal shower, but was a little disappointed there weren’t many recipes in it. It’s a very sweet keepsake book...but would of been nice to also be a real cookbook.

But even blank, there is enough information in this book that it would be an excellent reference to keep on hand.It was somewhat disappointing that the book is entirely (and heavily) Christian oriented. The book also doesn’t consider a couple other than a man and a woman. Our Newlywed Kitchen by Laura Schupp offers new brides a book to treasure and to help them make their kitchen the heart of their home or apartment.Our Newlywed Kitchen would be a beautiful keepsake book to give for a shower gift for a bride-to-be. This lovely book has several pages to personalize from the gift giver and other family members. I see it as a sort of kitchen journal keepsake that would be treasured indefinitely with personalization from special people. There are places to write good wishes for the couple, prayers and favorite family recipes. The book also mixes traditions with modern technology information to create a truly unique book. Schupp shares some of her family traditions, newly married stories, special recipes and kitchen tips. However, she also shares websites and up-to-date ways to feed your family such as through meal delivery services. She shares a lot of practical advice on registering for kitchen items as well as how to set the table and how to come up with a meal plan to save time and money. All of these features make for a lovely keepsake full of practical advice for a bride to use to set up modern housekeeping. The author shares her experiences and she also shares her daughter's experiences with cooking and kitchen ware, which also helps bridge the generations I think.I think Our Newlywed Kitchen is just a gorgeous gift book. I would have loved to have had this book to personalize for our niece and nephews when they got married a few years ago. I will certainly be remembering it for future gifts to give special friends and family members. I would encourage anyone to get a copy for a special bride-to-be in their life.I received this book from Tyndale House Publisher. I was not required to write a positive review.
I was just in awl when this book arrived from Tyndale publishing for my review. I have a granddaughter getting married this year and this book is just the thing for a new bride as she sets up house keeping. There are places for her friends and family to write in their own hand writing messages and recipes and her family to write the favorite recipes that she had ate as she was growing up so she can share them with the new husband. This book has the Christian way to share and to learn as they start their lives together. I really love this book and wish I had something like this when I was first starting my married life that has now lasted 57 years. A large hard backed book with a jacket cover, has 220 pages in color. The author Laura Schupp did such a great job, in the front there is a page to write to and from with the date. The next pages has a couple of pages for friends to write a message.
